I don't understand why league started so early - Southgate on 'lack of freshness'
Premier League players have suffered because the competition started "so early" after the World Cup, says England boss Gareth Southgate.

'Sacking McLeish would make no sense, he deserves a full campaign'
Ditching Alex McLeish as head coach before he completes one qualification campaign would not make sense, says Willie Miller.

About Us

Chipstead FC is a "senior" club, with its First Team competing in the Kent County League.

Our main pitch is on Chipstead Recreation Ground, which is in the village of Chipstead on the outskirts of Sevenoaks. Our ground has one full sized pitch, 3 mini-soccer pitches and a new sports pavilion which opened in January 2007. We also use pitches at nearby Sundridge and Brasted.

[The Pavilion is also available for hire - see column to left]

Chipstead FC runs approximately 20 teams from under 7's to adults and we place a strong emphasis on youth development. We believe the Club provides a "ladder of football opportunity" enabling youngsters to play through their various age groups. Our hope is that players will continue to graduate through this youth structure to play eventually at top level in our first team. Our older youth sides play in the Tandridge Youth League, whilst our mini-soccer teams compete in the Crowborough Junior League.

Our flagship first team plays in the Premier Division of the Haart Kent County Football League. Our Reserve team plays in the local Sevenoaks & District Football League. We also introduced a Veterans team at the start of season 2012-13.

Chipstead FC also run Saturday morning coaching sessions for children aged 5 10. Most of our coaches are FA qualified and it is policy for all involved with the running of the junior section to be CRB checked.

Chipstead FC is Charter Standard, is against racism and follows child protection guidelines.
