Congratulations to the Chipstead U18s are storming towards the end of their time with the Club this season with a Cup Final appearance in the U18 Surrey FA County Cup. This is the first time this team, managed by Gian Marco de Sisto and assisted by Paul Watson that they have got this far in a County Competition. Along the way they have had some impressive victories against Wandgas Youth (2-1), Leatherhead FC (4-2), Reigate Priory (2-2 & 4-3 on Pens) and today (24.3.24) a semi-final meeting with Tandridge Division One opponents Hamsey Rangers FC (6-1)

The team are also waiting for a date for their League Semi-Final match next month

I have a few days left before I run the Brathay ‘10 in 10’ from the 12th May to the 22nd of May. This will be 10 marathons (26.2 miles) over ten consecutive days around Lake Windermere.
I have run over 170 marathons and often done two in a week or even two over a weekend but never 10 in 10 days so it is a step into the unknown.

I am doing this to raise money for the Brathay Trust and the excellent work they do to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people in the UK.

Chipstead U17s "Complete the Double" !

The Chipstead U17s who were new to the Mid Sussex Youth Football League this season have finished as Division Two League Winners (with one match to go) on 40 points and lifted the U17 League Cup Trophy beating two Division One teams in the semi-final and final.

The Cup Final was held on neutral ground at Oakwood FC, Crawley on 20 April with Shoreham & Adur being the other finalists.

Chipstead went 1-0 up through a great effort from Omar Farid in the first 10 minutes but Shoreham equalised not long after. Tan Rabe then put them 2-1 up before half time with a smoothly taken penalty.

With 2 goals in the second half from Tom Davies, including a long-range chip over the Goalkeeper from outside the 18 yard box, this secured the 4-1 victory over their Division One opponents.

The U17s have had a great season coached by Gian Marco de Sisto assisted by Lewis Riches and Paul Watson and become the first Chipstead team to complete a league and cup double for a number of years. A special thank you should also go to Daniel O’Connell and Rich Silva for sponsoring and supporting the team.

Congratulations to all the squad for working hard in training to show that your efforts really do all pay off in the end!

Chipstead U17s and U16 Eagles both progress to their Respective Cup Finals today - 19 February 2023

On a glorious Sunday morning the Chipstead U17s travelled to Haywards Heath to face St Francis Youth FC in the Mid Sussex Youth Football League Semi Final, a team one Division above them. It was an amazing end to end match which ended up in extra time (0-0 FT) but with top scoring Tom Davies putting one past their excellent keeper in the first half of AET and Lucas Wood sealing a 2-0 victory in the second, the Chipstead U17s progress to the Cup Final of the U17 MSYFL Cup in their first season in this League. An amazing effort from all of the squad with also a special mention to our own GK, Ben, who pulled off some amazing saves today.
Congratulations to all including Coaches GM, Lewis and Paul !

U15 Eagles BBQ & Trophy Presentation

The U15 Eagles enjoyed a BBQ at Coach Gian Marco's house last weekend to celebrate a successful season winning their Crowborough Shield Group and the players receiving their individual accolades.

Manager's Player - Conor Henderson, Player of the Year - Oli Haworth, Top Scorer - Tom Davies, Player's Player - Tan Rabe and Most Improved Player was Goalkeeper Ben Forrester who only conceded 3 goals in the 6 Shield matches whereas the team scored 43 !

Tom Davies also received the Overall Top Scorer Shield for the Youth Section of the Club (U13-U18) and was presented with a golden boot.

Oli was away on holiday for the BBQ but his trophy was presented to him by brother Josh, a Chipstead Youth Coach.

Well done Eagles - bring on next season !!!

We have now received the latest update from the Government and unfortunately all U18 outdoor sport has now been suspended in line with the National Lockdown.

As a Club, all our players, coaches, match officials, volunteers, parents, and facility providers must adhere to the UK Government’s new national COVID-19 restrictions during this period.

We hope everyone stays safe in these uncertain times and we would like to assure all our members that as soon as we are permitted to be playing football - we will be back !

CHIPSTEAD FC SUPPORTING THE BRITISH LEGION

Chipstead FC has again purchased poppies for all Youth teams playing on Sundays from "Poppies for Kits" which raises money for the Royal British Legion.

In 2019 the appeal donated a record breaking £31,873.90 to The Royal British Legion and we are proud to be able to continue with our support.

Below are our U15 Eagles, U15 Falcons, U12 Falcons and U12 Coyotes (Girls) who did manage to wear their "Poppies with Pride" in matches on Sunday 1 November 2020.

For teams who did not play that day, please wear your Poppies on Sunday 6 December and send in your photos.

Club Statement - 3 November 2020 - Covid-19 Restrictions Update

We have now received the latest update from the FA and unfortunately all fixtures and training for indoor and outdoor youth and adult grassroots football is suspended from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December 2020 in line with Government guidelines.

We will await further updates from our various hire venues but we expect mini soccer to continue from Saturday 5 December and youth soccer fixtures from Sunday 6 December.

All midweek training for U11/12/13/14/15/16 & 18s should continue from Tuesday 8 December. Again, we will require confirmation that our training facilities will re-open at this time.

As a Club, all our players, coaches, match officials, volunteers, parents, and facility providers must adhere to the UK Government’s new national COVID-19 restrictions during this period.

Chipstead U14s are looking for a Goal Keeper for their 2020/21 Kent Youth League Central Division campaign.

Applicants should ideally be at county/district/academy level, however trials will be considered for players that believe they have the ability to compete as GK in our squad at this level.

We train on Tuesday evenings 8pm-9pm at Knole Academy 3G, Sevenoaks, Kent and play home games at the same venue (Sundays).

Chpistead JFC hosted it's 4th Annual Charity Tournament on Saturday 22nd August again supporting the Hospice in the Weald
BIG THANKS goes to Joffie and all the helpers, Youth Coaches, Referees, players & parents for making this such a success yet again.
Thank you also to Knole Academy for the use of the facilities for the day & to Parker Scooters for donating the "Top Raffle Prize" of an Electric Scooter won by U11 Player - Isaac Monks. The Raffle raised over £700 !
Our Chairman was in attendance to hand out the trophies & "Chippy" the Unicorn was around for selfies !

Chipstead U15s & U17s in the Cup Final !!!

Marc Roots has steered his U17 boys to the U17/18 League Challenge Cup Final on Thursday 19 March. Chipstead will play Ballers Club FC in a repeat of last years U18 Final. The match will take place at the Tooting & Mitcham KNK Stadium with a 7.30pm Kick off.

Ian Borders and Jason Hemmingway secured a 2-1 victory over Bromley this weekend to secure their spot in the U15 League Challenge Cup Final. This match will be held at AFC Croydon on Sunday 22 March 2020.

Chipstead First Team - Match News:

For the second time in 2 years Chipstead reach the Sevenoaks Charity Cup Final with a fabulous performance at their home ground. A 2-1 win over Rusthall Reserves sees them return to the Bourne Stadium on Good Friday to play either Cuxton 91 or Hildenborough FC who play their semi- final this coming Saturday 21st March. Goals from Joffie Shea (which has to be a contender for goal of the season) & a penalty from Captain Alfie Kitt sealed the victory ! Up the Chips !

Chistead first team extended their recent unbeaten run to eight games with a comfortable 6-1 win at home to Sutton Athletic Reserves (played at Bishop Justice pitch). On target for the Chips were Woodley (2), Hill (2), Highwood and Warner.
