As expected the FA has now advised all football be suspended. Therefore all Chipstead FC training and matches will be postponed for the foreseeable future. We will of course be monitoring the situation carefully and will provide updates as soon as we receive them from the FA.

FA Statement on Grassroots Football (17/3/20): "Following the Government’s announcement today, for people to avoid social contact and gatherings where possible, we are now advising that all grassroots football in England is postponed for the foreseeable future.
"Throughout this period, we have taken Government advice with the priority being the health and well-being of all. We will continue to work closely with the grassroots game during this time.
"We are in regular communication with the Government and the situation within English football at all levels remains under regular review. Further updates will follow as needed."

Chipstead First Team - Match News:

For the second time in 2 years Chipstead reach the Sevenoaks Charity Cup Final with a fabulous performance at their home ground.  A 2-1 win over Rusthall Reserves sees them return to the Bourne Stadium on Good Friday to play either Cuxton 91 or Hildenborough FC who play their semi- final this coming Saturday 21st March.   Goals from Joffie Shea (which has to be a contender for goal of the season) & a penalty from Captain Alfie Kitt sealed the victory !  Up the Chips !

Chistead first team extended their recent unbeaten run to eight games with a comfortable 6-1 win at home to Sutton Athletic Reserves (played at Bishop Justice pitch). On target for the Chips were Woodley (2), Hill (2), Highwood and Warner.
